Asylum Hill Congregational Church is part of the Southern New England Conference of the United Church of Christ (UCC). Their motto — “that they may all be one” — is Jesus’ prayer for the unity of the church. The UCC is one of the most diverse Christian churches in the United States, known for its welcoming of all people.
AHCC is governed by a Board of Deacons, led by the church moderator and vice moderator. Deacons shape the direction to the future of the church, serve at church services, offer counsel to its officers and others, and share the leadership of the church with the ministers.
