Ministry Teams
WHAT ARE THEY?
Ministry Teams are a model for organizing the leadership of the church in a way that invites more people into ministry in areas they are passionate about.
HOW DO THEY WORK?
There are six Ministry Teams (Administration & Operations, Early Life Faith Formation, Adult Faith Formation, Nurture & Engagement, Justice & Outreach Music & Arts) divided into Working Groups focused on specific areas within the Ministry Team.
There are no nominations, elections, or term limits, allowing folks to plug in to areas they are passionate about and have energy behind.
WHEN DO WE START?
The Deacons will continue hosting small meetings through September with more information about the Ministry Team model, and there will be regular updates on our website and via email.
Because changing the leadership structure involves changing the bylaws, at the September Deacon’s Meeting, there will be a vote on whether to approve these changes. In October 2024, we will hold a special meeting of the congregation to vote on this change.
WHO CAN I TALK TO?
Along with a special Task Force, the Deacons have been working hard on this new model and will be available on Sundays to answer any questions you may have.
