Activity Descriptions:
The Tapping Solution: Finding Serenity in a Noisy World
Meridian Tapping is a simple, hands-on technique designed to soothe and calm the nervous system. Robin Roth* will lead us in an experiential workshop introducing you to the art and science of Meridian Tapping and teaching you how to apply tapping to yourself to experience an embodied state of peace and serenity. Additional centering techniques, such as guided meditation, mindful walking and mindful eating will also be incorporated to invite a deepened state of relaxation, rest and renewal.
Your Choice! Enjoy free time with various options: continued meditation, walking the Labyrinth, exploring the Memorial Garden, casual conversation, lunch
Discover the Liturgical Seasons Captured by Member-Made Art
Rev. Lara will lead an introduction to the Liturgical Year and its seasons, followed by Kay Carver who, using her art, will highlight the hidden symbols used in sacred/Christian devotional art.
Using two of her banners, Kay will engage our curiosity to discover inspiration to contemplate excitement and meaning found in these examples. Learn where to find this art in the Sanctuary and when to look for its changes with each Liturgical season.
Calming the Mind and Body: How Children Relate to Meridian Tapping
Lorrie Kellogg will share Gorilla Thumps & Bear Hugs, a book that illustrates how tapping can help children overcome stress and anxiety, helpful information for caregivers of any age.
