Donny Palumbo
Director of Youth Ministries
Donny Palumbo is a committed educator who believes in creating a sanctuary where young people can come as they are—welcomed and accepted. In this space, they can be seen, build meaningful relationships, ask questions and explore answers—ultimately sparking even more curiosity and growth.
Donny brings several years of experience working in a wide breadth of settings within education, either leading classrooms or supporting individual students. He is a certified Social Studies Teacher who has taught AP US History, European History, and World Regional Studies. Aside from the classroom, he has worked as mentor, teaching assistant, after-school tutor, as well as staff for afterschool youth programs as an Americorps volunteer in Manchester, New Hampshire.
Before becoming a teacher, Donny was a communications and public affairs professional at Yale University. He built relationships with journalists all over the country and trained university faculty for media appearances.
Donny is a lifelong Connecticut resident who grew up on the shoreline in a close-knit Italian-American family. He is a brother, husband, and soon-to-be father. He resides in West Hartford with his wife Kendall, and their cat, Postman (Posty).
