Children's Christian Education

Spirit Hill Church School thrives because of the commitment of over 100 caring teens and adults who have discovered the opportunity for joyful service to God and to our children through shepherding and teaching.

Parent Volunteers are the backbone of Spirit Hill. These volunteers meet the Spirit Hill students each Sunday in the fellowship hall after the children recess from the service. As the children learn and grow in their faith by rotating through several modules and teachers for each lesson, these volunteers are the "constants" in the lives of the children.

Teachers teach three-four week units and can sign up to teach as many times as they would like. No teaching experience is required - just a joy of working with children and a love of sharing the Word of God. AHCC has a Safe Church Policy that requires the church "to provide a safe environment for persons of all ages who are entrusted to its care." Included in the policy is a provision to for a uniformly enforced screening process of all staff and volunteers, particularly for those with responsibilities related to our children, which includes background checks.
