A quick read through the Gospels shows that Jesus had a lot to say about finances. He approached the subject in a number of ways, providing clear instruction, relatable parables, and wisdom on dealing with money. But many people (church leaders included) struggle with how to approach the subject of finances at church. It can be awkward. It can be confusing. And people aren’t sure how (or even if) they should address money in church.
In an effort to promote financial transparency by addressing the subject of money more openly and faithfully, the chairpersons of AHCC’s financial committees (Administration and Finance, Stewardship, Legacy Giving, and Investment) have developed a communications plan to regularly share information about the financial health of AHCC.
Beginning in early October, and continuing periodically throughout the program year, you will hear some important messages from the leaders of these committees on all subjects related to AHCC’s finances: from the Annual Budget, to the state of the Endowment, to leaving a legacy. We understand that members and friends of AHCC have a broad range of interests in and understanding of the church's finances, so at the end of each article, there will be an opportunity to contact AHCC if you have any questions, suggestions, or need clarification.
