Each of us is created as a holy vessel of embodied love. But after the toxicity and pain of last year, our sense of wholeness has been shattered. And so, this Lent will be a “season of recovery.” We will witness Jesus’ solidarity with those who suffer, and seek healing practices for body, mind, and spirit – personal and communal – creating beauty from that which feels broken.

Sundays in Lent
Each week in worship we will journey with Jesus and ponder anew how he engages with and heals people from all walks of life, paying close attention to the ways in which Christ’s healing comes to us in 2021.

Sea Glass
We will use sea glass as a symbol throughout our Lenten journey. You are invited to pick up a piece of sea glass at AHCC, hold it in your hand during times of prayer and reflection to remind you that you are loved and that we walk beside you on your faith journey.

Sea glass can be picked up any weekday in the front vestibule between 9am - 12noon.

If you would like, please return your piece of sea glass to AHCC on Easter Sunday, April 4,and they will be used to create a community art piece.

Lenten Bingo
Another way we will encourage healing practices for mind, body and spirit is through Lenten Bingo. This Bingo card includes practices that will help you live into the Lenten season with mindfulness and intentionality and help us all grow spiritually, cultivate our spirit of gratitude and generosity, connect with one another, and discover new spiritual practices.

How will it work?
