Those Who Dream. 2020 has been a "different" kind of year for sure, which means we need to celebrate Advent in different and creative ways as well.
Here's a printable calendar of all that's happening at AHCC during Advent. Stick it on your refrigerator so you dont miss a thing!

One of the things we are very excited about is Advent in a Box!

What is Advent in a Box?
It's literally a box filled with activities that will be meaningful to the young and the young at heart. It has all the familiar sights, sounds, tastes, and smells of Advent, to help connect you to your family of faith, even across the distance.

I'm intrigued. What's in it?
An Advent Daily Devotional, Advent calendar, AHCC vintage logo Christmas ornament, Christmas candle and matchbook, Advent wreath and prayer cards, prayer dice (you gotta be curious about that one!), a dream catcher, candy cane, hot chocolate kit, and access to a Spotify playlist created just for you. (Click this link to access the playlist)

How do I order one?
It's so easy! Just click here to reserve your Box.

Sounds great! How much is it?<>The cost of AHCC's Advent in a Box has been underwritten through a generous donation, so it's FREE. But you've got to reserve it! The boxes are designed to serve one per household, but you may "gift" one (also free) to a friend/ neighbor/relative who might enjoy it.

How do I get my Advent in a Box?
Boxes will be available for pick-up at church. Here's when you can pick up your reserved box:
Sunday, November 22: 11am - 2pm
Monday, November 23 - Wednesday, November 25: 9am - 11am
Thursday, November 26: 11am - 2pm
Sunday, November 29: 11am - 2pm

But wait, there's more!
Here are some other great ways AHCC is celebrating Advent in a new way.

Poinsettias (deadline to order Nov. 30)
We are continuing the tradition of having poinsettias on the chancel (December 6) and delivering them to our homebound members. For a donation of $15/poinsettia, you may honor or remember someone you love or appreciate with a beautiful poinsettia. More information, donation form, and delivery volunteer information here.

Angel Tree
As many of the community agencies we partner with are operating with safety restrictions, will be collecting gift cards for families in need this holiday season. Our goal is to donate 200 gift cards in the amount of $25 each (we suggest Target, Walmart, or Amazon). We're off to a good start. If you'd like to purchase a gift card, click here.
