Greater Hartford Interfaith Action Alliance (GHIAA) was officially launched on October 28, 2019 and AHCC was one of 35 faith-based organizations that attended the official launch, with 38 AHCC folks witnessing this historic moment. What differentiates GHIAA from other organizations is that it is action-based.

My heart and mind have been opened. Over the past several years, I’ve had the opportunity, particularly by attending AHCC’s forums on “The Legacy of Slavery” by Martey Rhine, and the curiosity to learn about the history of slavery in our nation and its 400 year legacy that I never learned about in school.
According to Gallup, church membership has been on a steady decline since the ‘70s, with 20% fewer church members since 1999. AHCC saw its membership follow this downward curve, and though the church has a 150 year history, all of its most populous years were at least a quarter century ago.
