Adult Christian Education
The Adult Christian Education Committee (ACE) at AHCC offers a variety of Bible studies, classes, forums, and special events during the program year to help the members of our faith community and friends on their journeys of faith, discovery, discernment, and service. The Committee welcomes and encourages your participation. All of the programs are inclusive and are designed to keep every participant better connected and engaged with church life at AHCC.
Most programs feature informative presentations as well as time for lively discussions. Programs are led by talented outside speakers, members of AHCC’s clergy, or knowledgeable church leaders. Many programs are focused on important social issues that are discussed in an open and civil manner so that all voices can be heard and respected. Bible study classes are spiritually engaging and probing. Every offering is open to every member of AHCC as well as anyone from the wider community who wishes to participate.
Multiple times and places for learning are scheduled throughout the week, and currently most are taking place on-line via Zoom. Please visit the AHCC calendar (https://www.ahcc.org/calendar) for the dates, times, and links, and registration details for specific programs that are of interest to you.
While registration is not required, it is recommended as you will receive notice of all associated materials in advance of the program along with the Zoom link. There will also be an electronic reminder the day before the program. You can register via the AHCC web site (www.ahcc.org) or by calling the church office at 860.525.5696.
Descriptions about AHCC’s educational programs are provided in the church’s weekly e-newsletters, during announcements on Sunday mornings, and in worship bulletins.
The Adult Christian Education Committee is currently chaired by Jane Torrey (firstname.lastname@example.org) with the Rev. Dr. Tracy Mehr-Muska, staff liaison to the Committee. Please let the Committee know if you have questions or send them any suggestions for future Adult Christian Education programs to consider.
