Workshops and Activities:

Liminal Spaces – Rev. Lara
We will define and discuss the concept of liminality and identify liminal spaces in our lives and environments. We will consider how we naturally respond when all that we think we know becomes questionable, and how we might respond differently by embracing “liminal theology” – a perspective that invites us live into the mysterious nature of creation, culture, and our everyday lives.

Creating Prayer Chains
Prayer chains are used throughout the world as a guide to speaking with God as well as a comfort during times when we reside in the unknown. Beads of many different shapes, colors, and all materials necessary for your personal creation will be provided.

Movement – Sarah Billings and Melanie ( a newly minted yoga instructor!)
All levels yoga and stretching practice

Spring Ahead – Rev. Erica
A discussion about the Liminal Space between the end of winter and the beginning of spring and our understanding of the space between Good Friday and Easter Sunday. What does it mean to experience loss and death while holding onto the hope of resurrection and new life? We will explore this metaphor as it relates to our life together as a community of faith. Moving between what we know and what is familiar to what we do not yet know and what is yet to come. Moving past the narrative of “the best is behind us” and writing an exciting new narrative which builds on our love of our past while envisioning a bold new future.

Crafts
Using pictures of beautiful flowers and landscapes, paths, and ponds, etc. as well as words, or phrases to create a Dream Garden that will inspire you to keep looking forward as Spring draws near. Your created garden picture can become a vision board as you continue to navigate 2025.
