To Know and Be Known House Meeting – in person

Are you ready to deepen your relationship to some of your fellow members of AHCC in a friendly gathering? Your Member Engagement Team, in collaboration with the GHIAA Core Leadership Team, will offer TWO “Getting to Know You” House Meetings this spring – one in person at AHCC, and one via Zoom.

These facilitated sessions are opportunities for a small group to share a personal story about something that matters to them and are powerful ways to forge strong connections with people beyond worship experiences or church meetings.

I continue to be shocked (in a good way) with the complexity of our lives as human beings. At the house meetings I learn things about people I have known for almost 20 years … joys and sorrows and stories that just needed a safe place in which to be shared.  – Rev. Erica Thompson

Through our AHCC “To Know and Be Known” House Meetings, I have watched meaningful connections made between people (particularly young adults) who otherwise may never have had the opportunity to share some of the things on their hearts. The warm and open environment of these meetings cultivates a level of care that invites vulnerability. The solidarity of sharing the joys and challenges of career paths, relationship matters, and parenthood, is something absolutely sacred and it is a joy to witness.  – Rev. Jordan Bucey
