Give Light: Spiritual Support for Climate Engagement

NOTE: This event runs until 2pm. We will provide coffee/tea and light snacks. If you would like to bring your own snack or lunch, please feel free to do so.

Join us for an inspiring afternoon with Unitarian Universalist minister, singer-songwriter, and former environmental lawyer, Rev. Fred Small, who will preach during worship and then lead his acclaimed workshop, Give Light: Spiritual Support for Climate Engagement.

Called by Bill McKibben “one of the key figures in the religious environmental surge,” Rev. Small has devoted his ministry to organizing, advocacy, and spiritual care in the face of the climate crisis. As Minister for Climate Justice at Arlington Street Church in Boston, he brings deep wisdom, creativity, and compassion to this urgent work.

In this interactive, heart-centered workshop, Rev. Small will guide us through meditation, reflection, conversation, and song, helping us nourish our spirits, cultivate resilience, and strengthen our resolve as we face the climate emergency together. Rather than focusing on science or policy, this gathering will create space to explore our emotional and spiritual responses to the profound challenges of climate disruption.

Come, be uplifted and renewed as we seek together the courage, equanimity, and compassion to meet this moment with hope.

He will also be selling his award-winning children’s book Everything Possible based on the (included) song.  https://www.revfredsmall.com/the-book
