Call to Ecclesiastical Council

The Hartford Association of Southern New England Conference of the United Church of Christ, invites all clergy and lay delegates to attend the Ecclesiastical Council of David Figliuzzi. Mr. Figliuzzi will present his ordination paper and receive questions, followed by the a vote on his authorization.

An Ecclesiastical Council (EC) is a special meeting of the Conference acting as an Association that is convened by a vote of the Committee on the Ministry for the specific purpose of examining a candidate for Ordination or Privilege of Call. The purpose of an EC is to provide an opportunity for the candidate to demonstrate the ability to communicate a theological understanding of faith, the church, and its ministry in ways that approximate the preaching and teaching expectations of the ordained ministry.
