The purpose of the meeting is to review highlights of 2016, hear plans for the future, vote on proposed bylaw amendments, and elect lay leadership. The annual report, the nominating report presenting the slate of candidates, and the proposed bylaw amendments will be available through the Member Portal on May 1 and in hard copy on May 5.

At the meeting, bylaw changes will be considered regarding reducing the term of office for the Moderator and Vice Moderator from two years to one year; reducing the time period that must elapse when vacancies on the Board of Deacons occur; revising the membership and leadership of the Personnel Committee; and removing the reference to member-initiated affinity groups from the responsibilities of the Outreach Committee.
