Behold, I Make All Things New (Bible Study)

7:00pm on the second Wednesday of the month on October 13, November 10, January 12, February 9, March 9, and May 11 (no meetings in December or April)

In keeping with AHCC's theme for the year, “Behold, I Am Making All Things New,” join Yale Divinity School professor Gregory Mobley for a six-session Bible study that focuses on texts which herald new chapters of God’s covenant with Israel.

The sessions are:

October 13: A New Channel of God’s Blessing: The Call to Abram and Sarai (Genesis 12)
November 10: A New Name for God: The Revelation to Moses on Mt. Horeb (Exodus 3)
January 12: A New Experience of God: Elijah and the Still, Small Voice (1 Kings 19)
February 9: A New Aspect of God: The Emergence of Lady Wisdom (Proverbs 8)
March 9: A New Restoration: Jeremiah’s Scroll of Consolation (Jeremiah 31)
May 11: A New Horizon for Salvation: Daniel and the First Glimpse of Heaven (Daniel 12)

Gregory Mobley is Professor of Hebrew Bible and Congregational Studies at Andover Newton Seminary at Yale Divinity School. A native of Kentucky, Mobley received his Ph.D. from Harvard University and has since taught at Union Theological Seminary, Andover Newton Theological School, and moved with it to join Yale Divinity School in 2016. Mobley continues to be entranced, bewildered, challenged, and inspired by God as revealed in the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament, and hopes to share a measure of his excitement with you.
