Church in Motion at Connecticut Historical Society: Connecticut Freedom Workers: Remembering the Civil Rights Movement
Join others from AHCC for a private tour of the exhibit at the CT Historical Society entitled “Connecticut Freedom Workers: Remembering the Civil Rights Movement.” This exhibition shares stories, artifacts, and images of Connecticut freedom workers who supported the movement at home or by traveling south to participate in sit-ins, protests, and marches. The tour geared toward adults (age 14+) will be offered on two occasions, and there is one tour geared toward families (age 8+). Registration is required because there is a maximum of 15 people per group. Cost is $10 per person (children under 5 are free).
