Lessons in Creativity
Creativity – the ability to create. Is it learned or innate? One way to find out is to listen to these AHCC members who consider themselves creators.
AHCC is presenting a new video series starring church members who have enriched their lives by pursing creative endeavors. From writing, painting, dancing, singing, and cooking – these creators are sharing the lessons they’ve learned along the way and how you, too, might be inspired to create your own pathways.
The first video in the series is Friday, November 6, at 7:45pm on AHCC’s YouTube channel. Jane Carroll, a watercolorist who came to her talent later in life, shares how she began her journey, even though she had no idea what to do or whether she even had any talent. You may have noticed the water color painting hanging in the church’s entryway that is a Jane Carroll original.
The Music and Arts Committee is planning other Lessons in Creativity videos in the series, but welcomes any suggestions for possible profiles.
So if you are one of those people whose script says: "I don’t have it in me to be creative;" or "I have no talent, so why bother;" or even "I would rather sit on the sidelines and watch others create," hold on to those thoughts because you may have to rewrite your script after seeing these videos.
