Greater Hartford Interfaith Action Alliance (GHIAA): Virtual General Assembly
This Assembly is to reignite and secure more specific commitments needed from legislators and Governor Lamont on GHIAA’s legislative agenda following the mid-session Covid-19 shut down of the legislature.
The three key issues on GHIAA’s agenda are: Repealing welfare liens, passing Clean Slate legislation, and declaring racism a public health crisis. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
There will be a roll call announcing the number from each GHIAA faith-based group, and we’d like a strong showing for AHCC. If you can attend, please contact Mary Way at the church office (email@example.com) to register and to receive the Zoom invitation.
The Greater Hartford Interfaith Action Alliancerecently celebrated its anniversary in October and the commitment to justice in the community remains as strong as ever. We as a congregation are honored to partner with GHIAA and excited to participate in the upcoming action on Thursday, November 12 at 7pm (via Zoom). This assembly is to reignite and secure more specific commitments from legislators and Governor Lamont on GHIAA's legislative agenda following the mid-season shut down of the legislature due to COVID-19.
There will be a roll call announcing all of the congregations and faith communities in attendance, so we want to make sure there is a strong showing from AHCC!
