Tues, Jul. 10, “Come Sunday” is a 2018 drama based on the story of internationally-renowned pastor Carlton Pearson who risks his church, family, and future when he questions church doctrine and finds himself branded a heretic.
Tues, Jul. 17, “You Belong to Me” is a documentary film exploring the story of Ruby McCollum, a wealthy black woman who shot and killed a white doctor and State Senator-elect in 1952.
Wed, Aug. 1, “James Baldwin: The Price of the Ticket” is a 1989 PBS documentary that, without narration, allows Baldwin to tell his own story, exploring what it means to be born black, impoverished, gay, and gifted, in a world that had yet to understand that “all men are brothers.”
