Join Damon Carter, Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for Connecticut Attorneys Title Insurance Company (CATIC), and Earl Exum, senior executive at United Technologies and AHCC's Vice Moderator, for this discussion.

Damon Carter is the Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for Connecticut Attorneys Title Insurance Company (CATIC). Damon is also a member of CATIC’s Board of Directors and President of the CATIC Foundation. He has over 20 years of diverse HR leadership experience in multiple industries, including automotive, commercial refrigeration, chemical manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, health care and real estate/title insurance. Throughout his career, Damon has held HR leadership roles with several Fortune 50 companies, including, Aetna, United Technologies Corporation, General Electric and Express Scripts. Damon is also an Adjunct Research Analyst for IDC, a global provider of market intelligence for the IT industry, and he provides progressive thought leadership in the area of human capital strategy to IDC’s IT Executive Program. Additionally, he is a contributing author for CIO.com and recently published a special series regarding how IT leaders can effectively address systemic racism in the workplace. Damon is also a member of the Board of Directors for Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters in Hartford, CT. He holds a M.A. degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Detroit-Mercy and a B.S. degree in Psychology from Wayne State University.

Earl Exum is president of the West Hartford African American Social & Cultural Organization (WHAASCO). He is on the executive committee for the Urban League of Greater Hartford. He is the executive champion for the African American Forum (AAF) Employee Resource Group at his corporation. He is a member of the Executive Leadership Council, a professional organization dedicated to the development and advancement of African American and Black senior executives. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha and Signma Pi Phi, fraternal organizations focused on African American and Black college graduates and accomplished professionals, respectively. He is currently on the Board of Advisors for the Supply Chain Management program at the Howard University Business School. He is Vice Moderator and on the executive committee of Asylum Hill Congregational Church. Mr. Exum holds a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and dual master’s degrees from Purdue University (M.S. in Management) and Ecole Supérieure de Commerce (ESC) de Rouen, France (MBA in International Business). Mr. Exum is originally from New York City and has lived in West Hartford with his wife and 3 sons for over 20 year; and he has been active in the community through coaching youth sports and scouting.
