Tobey Aubert has been working with children, teens, and parents in a variety of faith-based initiatives as a credentialed minister since the early 2000s. He has specialized in mentoring and leadership development for teens and young adults and is collaborating within his local community in the development of easily accessible resources for parents and families to model respectful interest and acceptance between families of diverse faith traditions.
Tobey has done extensive research on spiritual formation on various Christian faith communities. His particular line of study emphasizes accessibility and simplicity using a common thread of spiritual practice throughout Christian history, enhanced by his unique life experience and analysis in many social backgrounds. Tobey has developed a ministry model that emphasizes faith practice in the home by empowering families with user-friendly tools to pursue a spiritual path in everyday life.
As a contemplative Christian, Tobey has been able to fully embrace the core of his faith tradition while recognizing the positive commonalities in other faith traditions. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Bible and a Master of Arts in Interfaith Action to enhance his skills and perception in dialogue, mediation, and social collaboration within diverse religious situations.
Tobey and his wife have three sons. The New England seacoast is his happy place, he is a Tolkien nerd, was a modern rock drummer who loves trees and maple syrup. Simon Sinek is a favorite current leadership guru and Cynthia Bourgeault is a favorite current religious author.
