Every Member Canvass

At Asylum Hill Congregational Church, we are a community of Christians who care deeply about each other and our neighbors.  Each of us is a unique individual, yet we are connected to God and to each other through the wonderful ministries of the church we love and that loves us.

In our theme for this year's Every Member Canvass - In All Things Give Thanks - we acknowledge and appreciate the gifts we have received as members of Asylum Hill Church. We unite as a thankful people, grateful to be part of a faith community where each and every individual is valued and loved as a child of God.

The Every Member Canvass is a way for us to show our love - for each other, our church, our neighbors, and our God. It is an opportunity to give thanks for abundant blessings in our lives. We give through the EMC because we are thankful for receiving so much as members of the Asylum Hill Church family.  

We embrace giving as an act of thanksgiving.

The EMC represents a time when we answer God's call to be a community, a time when we experience the power of giving.  While each individual gift matters, the impact of our collective giving is truly immense. In supporting the EMC this and every year, we have a unique opportunity to make our own investment in the future of this wonderful church and in so doing sustain and strengthen the commitments and traditions that have distinguished AHCC since its founding.

In prayerfully considering this opportunity to pledge our financial support, may we be inspired by these words of scripture:  "… be filled with the Spirit, as you sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, singing and making melody to the Lord in your hearts, giving thanks to God the Creator at all times and for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ" (Ephesians 5:18 - 20).
