Spirit Hill Church School
| This Sunday, October 23 our Kindergarten - 6th graders will be singing in worship. We are asking that all children be in McKeith (choir room on 2nd floor) by 9:45 am so we can rehearse our song. Children will proceed to worship as group from McKeith and sit together before singing. That means that parents may drop children off at 9:45 and pick them up at the usual time of 11:30 in either the Chapel (K-2) or McKeith (3-5). |
Spirit Hill is a place where each child's individual strengths and talents are recognized and used as a springboard for developing their relationship with God.
Spirit Hill depends on volunteers from our membership. In fact, there are nearly 150 people who give their time teaching, being shepherds or helping in other ways. These adults are engaged, enthusiastic and caught up in the Spirit. No special skills are needed. You just need to love children and be willing to help them with their faith journey.

Infants, Toddlers, Preschoolers:
Our infant, toddler, preschooler program will continue to be an
engaging and exciting program. The infants and toddlers will
enjoy their Sunday morning in our lovely nursery located on the
lower level. The preschool children are divided by age into
two separate classrooms. We will continue to use the Rock
Solid curriculum for the children in these age groups.
Kindergarten:
The Kindergarten classroom is housed on the upper level. Ann
Sullivan, teacher by profession, will continue her role as the
Spirit Hill Kindergarten teacher. She will be assisted by
Liridona Mehmeti.
K - 5th Graders:
Children will begin with worship in the sanctuary and recess out
of the sanctuary with their shepherds or teachers (4th and 5th
graders). Parents may retrieve their children at the end of the
Spirit Hill hour.
6th Graders:
We are so excited to welcome our 6th graders to their Total
Outreach classroom. The 6th graders will go directly to Total
Outreach each Sunday morning where they will be met by their
teachers. After spending some time with ice-breaker games, they
will go to their Spirit Hill classroom for the remainder of the
morning.
Registration Forms!
Please make sure to fill out and return a registration form for
each of your Spirit Hill children (Infant - 6th grade). A
registration form will be be mailed to you in the Spirit Hill
packet, or you may access the packet here.
Shepherds are the backbone of Spirit Hill.
With children moving from room to room each Sunday, the shepherds
are the "constants" in the lives of the children. Their primary
role is to nurture and encourage children on their spiritual
journey. We are grateful for their commitment and devotion to
Spirit Hill.
