Crisis Food Support

The Crisis Food Support Program (CFSP), in cooperation with the Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF) and Friends of the Family, provides an emergency supply of food to families within the City of Hartford who are facing a crisis situation such as loss of employment or delay in receiving food stamp authorization.

The food stocked in the AHCC pantry is obtained from the Foodshare warehouse in Bloomfield at very low cost and is completely funded by the Board of Christian Service of AHCC. This annual donation covers the cost of food obtained from FoodShare and the reimburse-ments to the volunteers for food purchased at the supermarket.
