In the nearly four decades that ConnectiKids has been in existence, Asylum Hill Congregational Church has helped us serve thousands of Hartford children and families. With the church’s partnership, you have helped to create the many success stories we have watched blossom, and encouraged countless alumni grow to be confident young adults. How does it feel to have contributed to changing so many lives for the better?
As we transition from winter to spring, programming has been great with a full roster of students eager to see their mentors every week. We also have had a leadership transition as our Executive Director of six years; John Prescod has moved on to new opportunities and Program Director, E. Andrea Williams, took the lead of the agency. Everyone who has met her knows the passion she has for our mission, children, and community.
If you share Andrea’s desire for the betterment of this community, ConnectiKids would love to help you put your passion into action! It only takes one day a week for 75 minutes to make a significant impact in your community and the life of a young person. We truly rely on you to help us provide this vital program to the children on a weekly basis through the school year. It may sound cliché, but your gift of time will make a real difference in the lives of many children. For some of our students, this is the only uninterrupted time they have with a caring, compassionate adult to get homework assistance, read a book together, play a board game or merely hold a positive conversation.
