Weddings at Asylum Hill Congregational Church, UCC

At Asylum Hill Congregational Church, UCC, we believe marriage is a sacred opportunity for Christian discipleship by making a public commitment to a lifetime of love and faithfulness, and to do so within the context of a worshiping community. Asylum Hill Congregational Church is an Open and Affirming community and we welcome the opportunity to perform wedding ceremonies for same gender couples.

A minister of Asylum Hill Congregational Church presides at all weddings. Each minister may have her or his individual requirements and has the latitude to accept a couple's application for marriage.  We try to accommodate requests for a family member or a close friend who is a justice of the peace or ordained clergy to participate in the wedding service.

The Asylum Hill Congregational Church minister will lead couples through marriage preparation sessions, where they have an opportunity to consider the meaning of marriage, examine personal expectations, ask questions, and share in wedding service planning.

If you wish to have a wedding at Asylum Hill Congregational Church, please check the availability of the church on the dates you are considering by calling the church office at (860)525-5696, or contact Denise Doran.
