Christina Harton

Hello!  I am Christina Harton and I am originally from Alabama (Roll Tide!). In my youth I was an active member of Frazer Memorial United Methodist Church where I attended Confirmation, as well as participated in many mission trips including one international mission to Chihuahua, Mexico. Those years of being a part of the Frazer Youth were huge in shaping me as a Christian, and because of that I have always been very interested in working with young people.

While in college, I moved to Richmond, Virginia. There I attended Virginia Commonwealth University and received a bachelor's degree in English and a master's degree in education.  After graduating, I taught elementary school.  I also met and married my wonderful husband, Brian, while living in Virginia.  He and I married on July 12, 2003 overlooking the James River near historic Williamsburg.

We moved to Connecticut in December of 2006, and I began working at AHCC in 2007.  I recently completed a year-long class with the UCC and Hartford Seminary, Associate in Christian Education, which helped me bridge the gap from teaching in a public school setting to working with the youth at AHCC!  My husband and I currently reside in West Hartford with our amazing daughter, Merritt, and our sweet yellow lab, Tide.
